Supporting Senior Horses Through Winter
January has arrived with a blast of cold followed by torrential rain. Fields are like a muddy ice rink and we are all wondering when spring will FINALLY arrive. Winter is tough for all of us, but especially those looking after senior horses. We face the dilemma of turning horses out in slippery cold conditions, or keeping them in a dry stable for longer periods which is likely to result in them getting very stiff. Generally the oldies aren't looking their best at this time
